Who we are
The Beth Robin Foundation was created from a deep truth: stories save lives.
We are a nonprofit organization committed to supporting LGBTQ+ authors and inclusive storytellers — especially those who have faced barriers to being heard. We believe that everyone deserves to see themselves in stories, and that publishing shouldn’t be reserved for the privileged few.
This foundation was born from both personal experience and fierce love — for literature, for justice, for the truth-tellers and dreamers who change the world one page at a time.
We provide:
Grants to help cover editing, design, and publishing costs
Support with copyright, book marketing, and professional development
Community for queer and marginalized authors navigating the publishing world
Visibility for stories that might otherwise be overlooked or silenced
Our work is rooted in equity, radical inclusion, and the unwavering belief that art is activism.
We don’t believe in gatekeeping.
We believe in opening the door wider.
About the Founder
Beth Robin (she/her) is a writer, healthcare provider, and lifelong believer in the power of stories to heal, uplift, and transform. As a queer woman and mother, she knows how vital it is to see yourself reflected in the pages of a book—and how painful it is when your voice is left out entirely.
After years navigating both the publishing world and the healthcare system, Beth founded the Beth Robin Foundation to open doors for others that had once been closed to her. She believes that inclusive stories don’t just entertain—they save lives. And no one should have to walk alone to tell theirs.
Beth brings her heart, clinical precision, and creative fire to every grant awarded and every voice uplifted. She lives at the threshold where truth meets tenderness and believes that art, when shared bravely, is one of the greatest forces for change.
